deconstruction

To deconstruct is to give a different meaning to a word, change it completely. and there are lots of examples but I am so tired that I cant think of one, the one that comes to my mind first is... YERVAS! When you talk about Yervas or weed (in English) you think about grass or something to smoke and be high, but in our school we have changed it and now it is my nickname. In our school when you hear Yervas you think of something to smoke and be high but also about me!!

nothing is possible....

well try to figure out how it looks the nothing, its shape, color, or whatever. it is impossible.

I think that nothingness is impossible because of one simple thing: we, humans, have a little defect or characteristic that is to give a meaning to everything. we can left something without a meaning or purpose. At the time we give a meaning to a thing, that thing stops having the characteristics of nothing which is not to have any characteristics, and becomes a something.

what type of art....

well there many kinds of art and all of them are used to express feelings. But the type of art that i like the most is architecture and plastic arts. I like the amazing ability that some people have to build very beautiful things. from little dogs houses to amazing bridges or buildings. and they also use some peculiar designs to build those buildings. I rather prefer new architecture than classic architecture. because it is more original and fancy. besides that buildings are were you live or work so you have to like them and you can build them as you like.

sanity is power??

well I dont think that sanity is power. power is relative, perhaps a sane person could have power could be president or mayor or something like that but when someone has too much power he becomes insane he is like controlled by this desire of more power and more power. so maybe youi get power being sane but power becomes people insane like Hitler. But as I said, power is relative, an insane person could have power in their own wacky and utopic world, they are the ones who input rules and controll everything. So I dont think sanity is power is just a way in whic you can get it easier.

neurosis....

well some people might be really easy to piss off. But we all have that deffect, we all have that little things, those things that really makes us angry. for example I really get angry when someone gets into my room and organizes my own disorder, I really get pissed off when they do this. Another think that I really hate is when you bother other people and they just dont react and tolerate everything that you say to them. And the final thing that I cant handle is when someone touches my hair and shakes it.

I can't handle any of these things and when it happens I get mad to anyone who makes them.

Socialism rules!!!

When I hear about socialism i think about Cuba and Fidel and the URSS and Lenin. And I think, ¿ Has cuba a better lifestyle than U.S.A? First of all i think that socialism is a system in which discrimanation is not a problem because we all have the same oportunities and the same rewards. Well perhaps it's not that much better, but in something it is. In Cuba everyone has free education, everyone has food, medicines and all for free.People don't have luxury stuff but they have what they need. And they recieve all these things as a reward for their efforts they do, instead of a salary (money). These brings less need of consumism and less need to buy stuff constantly, but there is something bad not everyone can gets used to this because not many nations acceot this system because they say is better and brings more economical increase. But I say bullshit in capitalism people are replaceable. if someone can't produce money that person is replaced for someone that produces. and that person cant work and its useless. In socialism that person still has the same oportunities. so I think Capitalism sucks!!

mind or matter???

i think we are matter because of one reason: we occupy a place in Earth and we are percieved by other people with there senses. But we also have mind because we need something to be reasonable animals.

Rationalism wins

I thiink that rationalism is better than empiricism. That is because you cant cheat to our mind, well perhaps you can but is more difficult than to cheat our senses. there are a lot of things that are used to deceive our mind. Like drugs, they make you see things that are not real or they can make you hear things whatever. You can also mistake someones scent with a different person or a differnt place. so I think your senses are not so trustable because they are easily confused or faked. Also your senses just give you information to do things but you do things with your mind, reasoning and using logic to do things. so otherwise you need reason to do things not just your senses.

That is why I think rationalism wins, because is more trustable and better

Rene Descartes

Rene Descartes seemed to be one of the greatest philosophers ever. One of the most brilliant. He is considered by many people "father of modern philosophy". This is because his rare type of thoughts ( at that moment) and how he saw and explained life.

He questioned about every possible thing he could and deduct every thing to the minimum posible answer. Because of this he created the methodic doubt.

Using this method he achieved a conclusion: we think, therefore we exist. He questioned about the existance of human and our purpose in earth. What do we do etc.. so he is considered the first existentialist. At his time he wasn't so famous on the contrary he was a bit rejected by people because of his thoughts and how he explained things. Just after his dead he became famous and everone wanted to read Descartes

idol of the theatre

when i was young, i lived in Australia. i went to a school in a small tonw. One day i woke up to go to school, i watched my calendar and saw that the next day it was the Queens birthday, and every year that day we did not have class, so i went happy to my school to tell my friends that tomorrow we did not have class. My friends told me that this was not true, i disagree with them because i saw with my owm eyes that the next day in my calendar was vacation. We kept arguing all the day. The next day i did not go to school, and that day we had i quiz and many homework. That night my best friend call me to know why i miss the class, i told him that i was sure that that day we have holliday, he told me that i was wrong and that i should chek my calendar then i realized that my calendar was of the past year ,then i laughed of my self and i miss class the other day too but this time i was sure that it was holliday.

what makes people follow a 10 years old kid talking about god and creation? what do i think about this

I think that this predicator kid is a product of fanatism and specifically fanatism for religion. because this kid comes with a messagge of renew in the faith of God and also new things like ctricizing cientifics and their postulates about evolution. He says that Charles Darwin and many other scientifics are wrong becasues they say that God doesn't exist. I think he is so wrong! he is just talking nonsense. he should acquire more knowledge before starting to go blasfeming scientifics.

That theory of evolution is something that has been proved. At our time we shouldn't say such things as "God created me and I am God's prefect creation". That was before when we needed some kind of hope in something more powerful than us.

Thats why people believes him because they just get satisfied with the simpliest explanation, and not with the one that is more difficult to understand. And what is worst is that these people that belives him gives strength to this kid and keeps him talking such nonsense.

In conclusion peoplr shouldn't encourage this kid, because he just inputs ignorance in these people and that is not good for nobody. we ought to know the truth about ourselves and from where did we come from.

Aristotle was a greek philosopher very famous in his time. He is the sucessor of Plato who is the sucessor of Socrates. and the third most famous philospher of anceint greece. Because of this Aristotle had many ideas of those two, but his philosophy is more dificult to understand.His philosphy is very complete. He talks a lot about political theory and the classification of animals and many other things. He seems to be against Plato's thoughts about ideas and that world of ideas he always talked about.

What I found interesting about Aristotle is his ideas about virtues, morality, the common good and happiness of a society or eudaimonia. He says that there has to be a balance between virtues ethics and pleasures.

He made a lot of contributions in some fields like society medicine and philosophy

Is the soul a product of body functions???

First what is soul? what we know now is that soul is something that is not physic, something that is inside us. But this is more religious believes there is not scientific proof that we have a soul inside us. But in ancient times in the times of Aristototle soul was something extremely important, it was like our main organ that controled everything. Aristotle thought that our soul also was something that could survive to many things even dead. When we die our physical body left this world and didn't exist anymore, but our soul survived and revived into another body.

He also said that our soul keeps and saves information memories, experiences. And when it revives all that we do is remind. Also our soul manifestates when we are happy, mad, sad and it does that through our body. So our body is like an instrument for soul to express and manifestate differnet estates of our mood. so soul isn't a product of body functions, body functions are a product of all the manifestations of our soul

PLATO!!!!!!!!

This guy was a very famous philosopher because of many things. First he made Socrates knowledge famous, he made it well known because he wrote everything Socrates said and because he was Socrates disciple. He did this because Socrates never wrote anything about what he said.

he aslo created his own way of thinking (Platonism) and his own way to see life through philosophy. He was focused on reality and ideas and everything that is related to this theme. That's why his philosophy is also well known even now that have passed more than 2000 thousand years.

he created a sort of school so he people could learn from him.
